Sara Candradhī Khorasani (she/they)
I teach yoga, embodied movement and meditation classes and retreats in an inclusive and affirming environment, with an aim to make these practices more easily accessible, available and enjoyable to everybody.
At the core of what I teach is mindfulness based yoga, weaving a meditative element through my classes, as well as teaching formal sitting meditation.
A lifetime of movement practices influences my style, including dance, chi gong, Clinical Somatics and Feldenkrais. I completed my yoga teacher training with Bodhiyoga in 2018, and the Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga 20Hr Foundation Workshop in 2023. I am also traines as a Breathworks Mindfulness teacher. I continue to deepen my understanding and practice of spiritual traditions, particularly Buddhism, and was Ordained in 2022.
As well as teaching yoga, I facilitate group processes such as 'The Work That Reconnects'. I live in East Ayrshire, an run a small, organic plant nursery growing native trees for rewilding and conservation projects.
I will offer variations and adaptations of the practices in an effort to meet the particular needs of every body and ability, and encourage you to take responsibility for practicing in a way that is appropriate for your own level and in tune with your own needs.
If you have any medical conditions, injuries or structural problems, or would simply like to have a chat before coming to a class, please get in touch.
